This notice explains the cookies and similar technologies (pixels, local storage, device identifiers) we use on Trackpeel (trackpeel.com), what each is for, and how you can control them. It complements our Privacy Policy.
1. The categories we use
Necessary (always on)
These are required to run the site, keep you signed in, and protect against abuse. They do not require consent and cannot be switched off.
| Cookie / technology | Set by | Purpose |
|---|---|---|
| Authentication & session cookies | Supabase (our auth provider) | Keep you signed in and maintain your session securely between requests. |
| Bot/abuse-protection token | Cloudflare Turnstile | Tell humans from bots on the free path to prevent automated abuse; loaded on pages that need the challenge. |
tp_consent (your cookie choice) | Trackpeel (first-party) | Remembers your consent preferences so we don’t ask again. Stores only on/off flags, a timestamp and a version number — no personal data. |
Analytics (consent-based)
| Tracker | Provider | Purpose |
|---|---|---|
| Product analytics | PostHog (US Cloud) | Understand how the app is used (pages, funnels, feature usage) so we can improve it. Sets analytics cookies/local storage and assigns an analytics identifier. |
| Google Analytics 4 (gtag.js) | Google LLC | Aggregate traffic and usage measurement. Sets analytics cookies (e.g. _ga, _ga_*). |
Marketing (consent-based)
These advertising pixels measure the performance of our ads and help us reach relevant audiences. They set cookies and share online identifiers (such as cookie IDs, your IP address and device/browser data, and events like “visited” or “purchased”) with the ad platforms below for advertising and measurement.
| Pixel | Provider | Purpose |
|---|---|---|
| Meta Pixel | Meta Platforms, Inc. | Measure conversions and optimise Facebook/Instagram ads. |
| Google Ads tag (gtag.js) | Google LLC | Measure conversions from Google Ads campaigns. |
| TikTok Pixel | TikTok (ByteDance / TikTok Pte. Ltd.) | Measure conversions and optimise TikTok ads. |
We load a given pixel only when you have given Marketing consent and that pixel is configured. The list above reflects the pixels we use; some may not be active at all times.
2. Our consent model (region-aware)
How we ask for consent depends on where you are visiting from (determined from your network location):
- EU/EEA, the UK and Switzerland — opt-in. Nothing in the Analytics or Marketing categories loads until you actively choose Accept. Until then only Necessary cookies are used. You can accept all, reject all non-essential, or choose per category.
- Everywhere else — opt-out. Analytics and Marketing may load by default, and we show a dismissible notice telling you so. You can opt out at any time via “Manage” in that notice or “Cookie settings” in the footer.
Either way, your explicit choice always wins and is remembered; your location only sets the starting default. If we materially change the cookies or trackers we use, we will ask everyone again.
3. How to change or withdraw your consent
Open “Cookie settings” in the site footer at any time to review your choices and turn Analytics or Marketing on or off. New tracking stops immediately; trackers already loaded earlier in the same browsing session are signalled to stop and fully clear on your next page load (or you can reload). You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings, and where supported we honour the browser Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal as an opt-out. Withdrawing consent does not affect processing that already happened while consent was in place.
4. Changes to this notice
We may update or modify this Cookie Notice at any time. The current version is always the one posted on this page, with a new “Last updated” date, and we will communicate material changes. Your continued use of Trackpeel after changes take effect means you accept the updated notice.
This notice is a working draft pending review by our legal counsel and may be refined. The version published here is the one that applies.
