Stems for Ableton Live — Split a Song into WAV Stems
To get stems for Ableton Live, upload a song to Trackpeel and its AI splits it into separate vocal, drum, bass, and instrumental WAV files you download and drag onto audio tracks in Live, then Warp to your project tempo. It runs in your browser — not an Ableton plugin.
Pull any track apart into vocal, drum, bass, and instrumental WAV files, then drag them straight onto audio tracks in Ableton Live and warp them for your remix or mashup. Trackpeel runs in your browser and exports finished stems you download and import — it isn't an Ableton plugin. Preview a 30-second snippet of every stem free with no sign-up — or sign up free to download those snippets as 30-second MP3 samples and test how they warp in your Live set; full-length lossless WAV downloads start at $5 (Day Pass) — no subscription required.
How it works
- 01
Upload your track
Drop in an MP3, M4A, WAV, FLAC, or video file straight from your browser — no need to bounce or convert anything out of Live first.
- 02
We split the stems
A source-separation model pulls the song apart into vocals, drums, bass, and other instruments — the four stems most Live remixes and mashups start from.
- 03
Import the WAVs into Live
Download the per-stem WAV files and drag them from Finder, Explorer, or the Live browser onto separate audio tracks — then turn on Warp to lock them to your project tempo.
What you get
You get every stem as its own full-length, lossless WAV — vocals, drums, bass, and the instrumental — with no extra compression. Because they are real files on your drive, they drop onto Ableton audio tracks like any sample, warp cleanly to your project tempo, and slice into Simpler or Drum Rack without a separation engine running inside Live.
The difference
Drag onto audio tracks
The downloaded WAVs drop straight onto audio tracks in Arrangement or Session view, ready to arrange, layer, and automate like any other clip.
Warp for remixes & mashups
Turn on Warp and the stems follow your project tempo, so an acapella from one song sits perfectly over the instrumental of another.
Feed Simpler & Drum Rack
Chop the isolated drum or vocal stem into Simpler or a Drum Rack to build kits, re-pitch hooks, and resample without bleed from the rest of the mix.
No plugin to install
Trackpeel separates the track in your browser and hands you WAV files. There is nothing to install in Live and nothing computing in real time during playback.
